Threaded Jewelry
To Insert
-
Insert the post through the back of the healed piercing.
-
Hold the post securely to prevent it from moving.
-
Line up the decorative top with the threading on the post.
-
Twist the top clockwise until it feels snug. Do not overtighten to avoid damage.
To Remove
-
Hold the post firmly in place.
-
Unscrew the decorative top by twisting it counterclockwise until it detaches.
-
TIP: Check the jewelry periodically to ensure the top remains secure.
Butterfly Backs
To Insert
-
Insert the post through the front of a healed piercing.
-
Hold the front of the earring securely.
-
Slide the butterfly back onto the post until it rests on the first notch. Avoid pushing it too tightly against the earlobe to avoid imbedding and allow for proper airflow and comfort.
To Remove
-
Hold the front of the earring firmly.
-
Gently pull the butterfly back straight off the post.
-
TIP: Keeping the back on the first notch prevents discomfort and ensures a healthy healing environment.

-
Carefully unhook the closure at the top of the clicker to open the jewelry.
-

Close the clicker by pressing the closure shut until you hear a “click.” This sound confirms the jewelry is securely locked in place.
To Remove
-
Gently unhook the closure to open the jewelry.
-
Slide the clicker out of the piercing.
-
TIP: Always listen for the “click” when closing to ensure the jewelry is secure.
Downsizing Jewelry
What is it?
Downsizing involves replacing the longer post used during the initial piercing with a shorter post once swelling has subsided.
Why is it important?
Reduces unnecessary movement of the jewelry. Prevents irritation, piercing bumps, snagging, or discomfort. Ensures a secure and comfortable fit as healing progresses.
When To Downsize
Typically 6-8 weeks after the initial piercing, depending on healing. Haven’t scheduled your downsizing appointment yet? Book Now
