Founded in 2019 by Erica Vicens Shane, Bella Piercing was named after her family's beloved English bulldog, Bella, who brought joy to their lives for over a decade.

The inspiration for Bella Piercing came when Erica's daughter, Nina Ewing, was 16 and eager to get a few piercings. After a visit to a downtown studio, where Nina got her tragus and helix piercings, Erica realized the experience could have been much more welcoming, personable, and comforting—especially for women and young girls. With over 25 years of experience in the permanent makeup industry, Erica was already well-acquainted with the beauty industry. She decided to create an upscale piercing salon with her daughter that would offer a safe, welcoming, and fun piercing experience—no piercing guns, ever.

Erica and Nina have transformed the piercing experience, offering a unique and enjoyable alternative to the typical mall or tattoo shop. At Bella Piercing, we go beyond the piercing itself, providing free treats, certificates, weekly specials, birthday packages, princess experiences, permanent jewelry, and more. Our mission is to make you feel welcomed, cared for, and excited about your piercing journey because we believe that’s what you deserve.
